The Nail Challenge Collaborative - July 2015: Travel

*purchased by me*

Woo hoo!  I did it!  I finished The Nail Challenge Collaborative July travel theme posts!  This is my fourth and final!  Now all I have to do it finish my August posts!  For this post I went with travel to Ireland.

As some of you may know I'm 50% Irish, but 100% at heart! I knew I wanted to include a post about Ireland, but wasn't sure what to do.  I decided to go with four leaf clovers as I've already done the Irish flag. I started with a base of one coat of Rica Whiteout and used China Glaze Four Leaf Clover to stamp with. I used my MoYou London Festive 21 plate to do the shamrocks and the I Shamrock Eire accent nail. For those of you that don't know Eire is Irish for Ireland.

I would totally love to travel to Ireland one day.  That is one of my dreams!

Where would you love to travel too? What great places have you already been to?

I am happy with how this turned out.  I hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for reading!

The Nail Challenge Collaborative - July 2015: Travel

*purchased by me*

Hey there! Today I have for you my third post in The Nail Challenge Collaborative July Travel theme.  I'm slowly getting caught up finally!  For this one I went with travel by boat for my mani.

I started with a base of Elevation Polish Kawagebo for my base.  The lighting kind of is off on the first picture. This one is more color accurate.  I used Boston Nail Art Nautical Blues waterslide decals for the anchors and captain's wheels.

I'm still getting the hang of waterslide decals.  I am happy with how this turned out though.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative - August 2015: Jewelry

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  Today I have for you my second post for the August The Nail Challenge Collaborative Jewelry theme.  I'm going to explain what I was going for before I post my mani pics.  I wanted to do something similar to the pic above with diamonds surrounding a stone.  My idea was good, but I can't say the same for the execution!

I started off with Literary Lacquers Blue Lullaby and Vurt-U-Want.  I love both of these polishes and the way they sparkle totally reminded me of jewels.

Then I tried to execute my great idea.  Using Orly Mirrorball and a dotting tool I attempted to create the look of diamonds set around the stones.

First off, I know how bad this turned out, but we must learn from our mistakes. I'm not ashamed because at least I tried. The thing that bothers me most is that adding Mirrorball actually dulled the sparkle of the base polishes making it look even less like jewelry. Oh well. Hopefully my next idea will turn out better.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative - August 2015: Jewelry

*purchased by me*

Hey there! August's The Nail Challenge Collaborative theme is Jewelry.  I realize I haven't finished my posts for July, and I am working on those as well. Work has been taking up a lot of my time so that's why I'm behind. I hope to complete both months this month!

I don't wear a lot of jewelry, but when I think of jewelry diamonds immediately come to mind so my first post is based on them!   I used a base of Zoya Mae and stamped with Rica Gunmetal and MoYou London The Pro XL08 plate to create this look.

As they say diamonds are a girl's best friend so why wouldn't I included them in a jewelry themed post!   I'm not completely pleased with how this turned out because it wasn't exactly what I had in mind.  Hopefully my next post will turn out better.

What jewelry would inspire you to do nail art?

Red Coat Tuesday Featuring Zoya Demetria

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  Today is the season finale of Pretty Little Liars so it was decided we would bring back Red Coat Tuesday which I couldn't be more excited about!  This season has actually been really good in my opinion, and I'm just hoping for a big reveAl tonight!

For my Red Coat Tuesday post I started with a base of Zoya Demetria which is a very unique, but beautiful red.

When my base was completely dry, I added Green Goddess Creations Pretty Little Liars water slide nail decals. I received these as a gift from my friend Joy and have been waiting to wear them. I think they are perfect for the summer finAle!

Each slide is one of the main girls, Aria, Emily, Hanna, and Spencer plus the It's Me Bitches A decal!  I did have a little trouble getting the water decals not to have air bubbles, but otherwise I'm happy with how they turned out.

I'm so excited for tonight's episode, and I can't wait to see who Charles is. Supposedly we are going to finally come face to face with A, but we've heard that before so we'll see!

How have you felt about this season? Any ideas who A is?

The Nail Challenge Collaborative - July 2015: Travel

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  I realize I missed three posts for The Nail Challenge Collaborative July Travel theme. Work has been extremely busy so I plan on getting caught up on them this month.  I'm a New Yorker, but currently live in Massachusetts so the next place I want to travel to is New York!

I knew that New York was going to be one of my manis for this theme.  It's home so I had to include it!

I started with a base of Rica Whiteout and with the MoYou London Tourist 06 plate I stamped the skyline with Rica Blackout, and I used Zoya Demetria for the other nails.

I really love how this turned out!  I couldn't be happier, and it totally reminds me of New York. The only thing that would make this better is if I was actually there!

Where is one place you would like to travel to?
