The Nail Challenge Collaborative - July 2015: Travel

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  July's theme for The Nail Challenge Collaborative is Travel.  One place I would love to travel to is Hawaii, and my nails are inspired by this picture of Baldwin Beach in Paia along Maui's North Shore.

I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Monster's Tea at Tiffany's which is a gorgeous aqua polish.

I stamped the waves using Rica Whiteout and MoYou London The Sailor 06 plate.

I finished the look by painting Zoya Godiva on my tips to look like the sand.

I'm really happy with how this turned out.  It definitely reminds me of the waves breaking on the beach.

Have you been to Hawaii? Where are some places you would like to travel to?

Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Monster's Tea at Tiffany's

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  Today I have for you a gorgeous polish from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer called Monster's Tea at Tiffany's. This post is kind of photo heavy because every pic I took looked different!  All pics are taken indoors in artificial lighting except the last one which is in sunlight.

Julie from BEGL describes this color as Tiffany blue with green to red shift.  I also see some hidden shimmer in this polish.  You can definitely see the shift in the picture above.

In this pic you can see the Tiffany blue color more accurately and the hidden shimmer.  I really love how much of a chameleon this polish is!

These photos show two coats of Monster's Tea at Tiffany's with topcoat.  I've had this on for two days, and there is no shrinkage, tip wear, or chips.  Like some other BEGL's this polish is on the thick side. I love the formula, but you can add thinner if you prefer.

I had to add a sunlight picture to show you just how different this polish is in different lighting.  It's so pretty, but as you know I love a great Tiffany blue polish!

You can buy Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer HERE.  Monster's Tea at Tiffany's is currently sold out, but might make a comeback!  It's worth it to check out her shop to drool over the other beauties!  Please like BEGL on Facebook and follow on Instagram and Twitter.

The Nail Challenge Collaborative - June 2015: Superheros

*purchased by me*

     (with flash)

Hey there! Today I finally have my fourth look for June's The Nail Challenge Collaborative Superheros theme. If you haven't figured it out it's Wonder Woman, the best superhero of them all!

     (without flash)

Wonder Woman has always been my favorite superhero so I had to do at least one of my looks based on her.

     (with flash)

After my base coat dried I put one straight Nail Vinyls diagonally on each nail. I painted one half in red using Zoya Sooki and the other half with Nails Inc. Baker Street.  After I removed the vinyl, I used a gold glitter striping polish from L.A. Colors to fill in the line.  With an L.A. Colors white striping polish I painted on the "stars" which obviously are just dots!

     (without flash)

I'm really happy with how this turned out!  It totally reminds me of Wonder Woman!

What do you think of my fourth and final look in the Superheros theme?  Which look was your favorite?
