31 Day Nail Art Challenge - Styles

Hey there! Today I have for you Days 11-20 of the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge.  These 10 manicures focused on different nail art styles.  

Day 11 - Polka Dots

Polishes Used: 

1 Coat Nailtiques Formula 2

2 Coats Smokey Mountain Lacquers Forsaken

Polka Dots - ellagee Ring Ding Ding Ding Dingering-eding, We're Not Broken Just Bent, and You Sexy Thang

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I was definitely in a fall mood when I chose the colors for this manicure! Smokey Mountain Lacquers Forsaken has a great formula, and I really love the color. I'm glad I decided to try a new brand!

Day 12 - Stripes

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Nailtiques Formula 2

Zoya Jacqueline, Evvie, Pepper, Sailor, and Codie

Straight Nail Vinyls

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I was still in a fall mood and wanted to use some of my untried Zoyas. I'm happy with how this turned out! 

Day 13 - Animal Print

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Nailtiques Formula 2

2 Coats Color Club Harp On It

Leopard Spots - Zoya Purity and Essie Licorice

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I used a dotting tool to do the leopard spots. I'm not typically an animal print fan, but I love how this turned out and will definitely do it again. 

Day 14 - Flowers

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Nailtiques Formula 2

2 Coats Orly Lollipop

Stamping - Rica Whiteout

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I'm honestly embarrassed to be sharing this one! I wasn't feeling well and decided to try stamping. It didn't come like I wanted it to, but I didn't have the energy to do it over. I do love the color combo though. 

Day 15 - Delicate Print

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Nailtiques Formula 2

2 Coats Stardust Polish To Gnome Me Is To Love Me (from the September G.N.O.M.E. Box)

Accent Nail - Zoya Kennedy

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I decided to go with a lace look for my delicate print. I used a dotting tool to achieve this look. I love how it turned out! 

Day 16 - Geometric

Polishes Used:

2 Coats Zoya Zeenat

Straight Nail Vinyls

Geometric Print - Zoya Garbo and SinfulShine Set The Mood

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

This is my favorite from the style section of the challenge. I love the color combo and I forgot how pretty Zoya Zeenat is. This is an easy mani to do, and you can use so many different color combinations for it. 

Day 17 - Glitter

Polishes Used:

2 Coats Zoya Jana

Glitter - Pretty & Polished Private School

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I wanted to do a glitter gradient for this day. I did the gradient on all the nails except my ring finger which I covered entirely.  I love the red shimmer in Pretty & Polished Private School.

Day 18 - Half Moons

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Nailtiques Formula 2

Half Moon - Zoya Casey

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I had been wanting to try a negative space manicure and thought that it would look good in the half moon. I love the negative space look with vampy colors like Zoya Casey so I was really happy with how this turned out. I used white circle reinforcement stickers that you can get at office supply stores to achieve the half moon. 

Day 19 - Galaxies

1 Coat Sinful Colors Starry Night

Nebula - Zoya Purity, Wednesday, and Sailor

1 Coat Sonnetarium Snowfall

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

Galaxy Nails have always scared me. They look great when done right, but they always seemed so complicated to do. I watched a tutorial by cutepolish on YouTube to figure out how to do them. I think if I had left off the bigger stars I would have really liked how this turned out.  

Day 20 - Water Marble

Polishes Used:

1 Coat Zoya Get Even

Pointer Finger - 2 Coats Zoya Odette

Pinkie Finger - 2 Coats Zoya Shawn

Thumb (not shown) - 2 Coats Zoya Kendal

Middle and Ring Fingers - 1 Coat Rica Whiteout

Water Marble - Zoya Odette, Shawn, and Kendal

1 Coat KBShimmer Clearly On Top

I knew I wanted to use Zoya Shawn in my water marble and thought the Odette and Kendal complimented it nicely. I had only tried water marbling once before this so was actually pleased with how this turned out. I can't wait to water marble again! 

And here is a collage of all 10 manicures for the style section of the challenge. As I mentioned, the geometric day was my favorite of the manis I did. Which is your favorite? Have you tried any of these techniques or will you in the future?
