A2Z Series Week 12 - L is for Lines

Hey there!  It's week 12 in the A2ZNails Weekly Challenge, and this week L is for Lines. For once I had an idea what I wanted to do this week! When I thought of lines, stripes immediately came to mind so I decided to do different angles of lines/stripes.

I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Grandpa and using straight Nail Vinyls I created the designs I wanted to do. Then I painted over them with Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Micky Smith. Defending The Earth. I won both of these polishes in an Instagram giveaway that Julie from BEGL hosted.

I love this color combination, and I think this look is fun!

What would you do for a lines manicure? What do you think of this color combo?

Red Coat Tuesday Featuring Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer and Zoya

Hey there! I hope everyone in the Northeast is surviving the storm. I'm snowed in with over a foot of snow and more to come, but I live where I work so I'm one of the only people here!  At least Pretty Little Liars is on tonight so that means it's Red Coat Tuesday

I used Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer You Just Want To Mate?! and Zoya Spencer for this look. You Just Want To Mate?! is a bright red jelly with orange, red, and gold shimmers. You can totally see the shimmers, and they're lovely!

I can't have crazy nail art at work so went with just a simple accent nail using Zoya Spencer as my base which I thought was appropriate since Spencer is one of the Liars! Using single chevron Nail Vinyls I painted the tip with You Just Want To Mate?! and came up with this simple yet classy look.  I received the Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer in a giveaway and purchased the Zoya during a clearance sale at Ulta!

I'm really looking forward to tonight's episode.  I'm so curious about what's in the barrel!

Are you wearing red for Red Coat Tuesday? What or who do you think is in the barrel?

A2Z Series Week 11 - K is for Kitchen Sink

*purchased by me*

Hey there! I'm a few days late, but this week is week 11 of the A2Z Weekly Challenge and K is for Kitchen Sink. I wasn't really sure what this theme meant, but figured it really could be anything.  I decided to do different nail art designs on each nail for my look.

I used Zoya Raven and Color Club Harp On It plus Nail Vinyls and my dotting tools to create this look.  The sink in my house is chrome with a black and chrome faucet so it works for that too!

I love this color combination, and although my look isn't perfect I'm happy with how it turned out.

What would you do for a kitchen sink mani?

Lynnderella Rad Red Party Dress and Red Coat Tuesday

*purchased by me*

Hey there! It's Tuesday, and you know what that means! Red Coat Tuesday! Pretty Little Liars is on, and I'm sporting red nails!

I have on one coat of Lynnderella Rad Red Party Dress over one coat of Zoya Sooki. Rad Red Party Dress is holographic microglitters so it dried kind of textured.  I finished it off with KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat to smooth it out.

I really love this polish combo, and I'm so excited for PLL tonight!

Are you wearing red nails for Red Coat Tuesday?

A2Z Series Week 10 - J is for Jewel

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  It's week 10 of the A2Z Weekly Challenge, and this week J is for Jewel.  I had purchased two Azature polishes during their sale, and since each bottle has a black diamond in it I thought they'd be perfect for this week's theme!

For this look I started with a base of Azature Light Blue Diamond.  It's a beautiful light blue polish.  I used MoYou London Princess 12 stamping plate and Azature Indigo Diamond to create the design.

Indigo Diamond is a gorgeous blue polish with purple shimmer.  It looks purple in the bottle, but definitely goes on blue which you can see in my pics.  It was really easy to stamp with.

The pic above was taken in natural lighting although it wasn't sunny so that's why it's a little dark.  I do think that Indigo Diamond is a really pretty jewel toned color so it fits with this week's theme that way as well.

What do you think of this look? Does it fit the jewel theme? What would you do for this week's mani?

Don't forget to check out the other bloggers participating in the challenge and remember to check back every Thursday to see all the creations.  Next week is K is for Kitchen.  I have no clue what that one means, but check back to see what I come up with!  For the complete A2Z Archive head over to the hubpage HERE

Azature Light Blue Diamond

*purchased by me*

Hey there! Today I have for you Azatute Light Blue Diamond.  This light blue polish is really pretty and perfect to wear any season.

I decided to cut my nails because they were getting too long for me to type at work!  This is three coats of Light Blue Diamond with topcoat.

Azature is a jewelry company who created some of the world's most expensive polishes using black diamonds. Each bottle of Azature nail lacquer comes with a black diamond in it so they retail for $25.  I was able to get this polish and one other during a sale where all polishes were $6.

Did you get any Azature nail lacquers during their sale?  What do you think of the new blog layout?

Azature polishes can be purchased here. Please like them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram.

A2Z Series Week 9 - I is for Inspired

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  How is everyone surviving this crazy cold weather?  I'm working for a few weeks in a hotel in Massachusetts, and I'm so glad I don't have to go outside cause I'm staying here as well.  This weather is definitely taking its toll on my hands and nails though. Even with using cuticle oil and lotion they are so dry! Anyway, after a short hiatus for the holidays the A2Z Weekly Challenge is back, and this week I is for Inspired

I honestly have not been feeling inspired at all lately.  I really hoped something would inspire me, and when I was looking through my nail polish case last night it hit me!

Luckily I brought polishes with me that match my Caboodles nail polish case.  I used Zoya Raven, Zoya Purity, and Polish My Life Breakfast on Fifth plus my dotting tools to create this look!  I finished it with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

I really like this especially for doing something so last minute.  It was simple, but I think it's cute, and I could see this in lots of other color patterns.

What colors would you use for a mani like this?  What inspires you when doing nail art?

Christian Louboutin Rouge Louboutin and Red Coat Tuesday

*purchased by me*

Hey there!  Tonight I have something special to share!  First it's the winter premier of Pretty Little Liars. Yay! Second, I decided to wear the gorgeous Rouge Louboutin from Christian Louboutin because I thought it was perfect for the first Red Coat Tuesday of the year!

Rouge Louboutin is a vibrant, timeless red crème perfect for any skin tone. It's inspired by the sole of Christian Louboutin's famous shoes, and I could totally see at least one of the Pretty Little Liars wearing this color and maybe using the bottle as a weapon!

I'm so excited for the return of PLL tonight. After the way it ended in August I can't wait to see what surprises are in store for us!

The application on this polish was great.  This is two coats with topcoat, but I could have gotten away with one coat. I will say that with how much it cost I probably will only wear it on special occasions though.

Do you watch Pretty Little Liars?  What do you think will happen this season? Who do you think A is?

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-09

*press sample*

Hey there!  Tonight I have some nail art using BP-09 stamping plate from Born Pretty Store.  I want to preface this post by saying I'm still new to stamping!

I used this plate to do two different designs.

First, I stamped Rica Whiteout over Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Wanna Fall In Love Tonight.  There are a couple of mistakes which you can see, but that is completely due to user error.  The plate was actually really easy to use, and the image picked up completely on my stamper. I'm still getting the hang of stamping!

Second, I stamped Essie After School Boy Blazer over OPI Damone Roberts 1968.  I love this color combination, and this stamp was again easy to work with.  I will probably stamp with this design a lot because I really like how it looks.

Overall, I had no problems with the stamping plate. Any mistakes were my own fault.  Both images picked up completely onto my stamper.  I just need some more practice!

Have you tried stamping yet?  What stamper would you recommend for a newbie?

Check out Born Pretty Store here, and you can find this stamping plate here.  As I mentioned before they ship from China so allow some time for your order to arrive.  They have great affordable nail art supplies so definitely check them out.  Use code SGSG10 for 10% off your order.  Please like them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram.
